What does the Salvage tag mean?

The small salvage tag on the side of the bag helps the production process stay transparent and honest with customers. These tags are a verification that the bags are sustainable, ethically and consciously sourced.

This means the following:

  • No use of child labour
  • No use of forced labour
  • Safe and healthy working conditions
  • Legal labour contracts
  • Payment of living wage
  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
  • No discrimination against employees
  • No excessive hours of work

Salvage labelled products are certified under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) and the Organic Content Standard (OCS) by the Control Union Certifications. Licence number CU828402

Through this example, the hope is that it helps provide customers an example and framework for how other brands should be accountable for their impact.
